About us: Privacy Act Shield is operated in Australia and complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. What personal information we collect

We collect personal information you provide when creating an account, including your name, email address, and organisation details. We also collect information about how you use the platform.

2. Why we collect it

We collect this information to provide and improve the Privacy Act Shield service, communicate with you, process payments via Stripe, and send compliance reminders via Resend.

3. Disclosure to third parties

We share information with Supabase (database hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and Anthropic (AI processing). Each provider is contractually bound to handle your data in accordance with applicable privacy law.

4. Cross-border transfers

Some service providers store or process data outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps under APP 8 to ensure they comply with equivalent privacy obligations.

5. Access and correction

6. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the APPs, contact us at privacy@privacyactshield.com.au. You may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
